Moab Trip

The Cox family planned a moab trip this year. I was really excited to take Bryce with me since I had so much fun last time I went to moab with the Cox family. Plus now that my dad died I feel like we don't get to see his side of the family that much, but when we do I can always feel my dad close by. Bryce was pretty busy with school and work, but he managed to take some time off for me. I drove us down there because Bryce had to work the night before so we slept the whole way there. When we arrived we decided to go to arches. Bryce only got maybe 3 hours of sleep and then we woke him up to go hiking. That's probably the last thing that you want to do when you have only slept for 3 hours, but he was a good sport about the whole thing. However for me when you are driving in a car 3 hours hiking and stretching out your legs sounds pretty good. We went on a pretty long hike.

We saw Landscape Arch

Bryce made a new friend with a lizard. He named it Howard (also a result of only 3hours of sleep)

At the end of the hike there were a few arabians trying to hike up so that they could get into the arch, but none of them could do it, even though Bryce was tired and we had been hiking for the last 2 hours he got a little competative, no one tells him he can't do something! So he proved them all wrong and got to the top of the arch! Too bad my batery died on my camera so I couldn't take a picture. It started looking pretty gray so we decided to head back.

The next day we got up early and went on a river rafting trip. It was fun seeing all of my aunts and cousins and telling them the story of how Bryce proposed and my plans for the wedding they even offered to do a shower for me. I remeber the river trip having a lot more rapids last time we came here, but Bryce made it fun although I don't think that our guide apprechiated him too much, but the kids loved him. They had him sit at the top so he could get bounced around on the one of the rapids. It was a pretty fun trip I was glad that I was able to see my Cox cousins and spend time with them!

Flowers Might Bring Out the Worst in You!

We went to skyline floral for my flowers Margo said that they were cheap and amazing, what she didn't say is that the old Lady there is terrifying. I still have nightmares about her trying to ruin my wedding. We brought in some fake sample flowers and colors that I really liked nothing too crazy. I wanted orchids, calalilies, and hydrangeas. She told me that they don't have those flowers and they don't have those colors. Next she told me that I my centerpieces were all wrong. Now granted I don't know a lot about flowers, but I do know one thing and that is that the bride is never wrong!!! yes I had my second episode of bridezilla Margo and I decided to just go with fake flowers, but we did have them do our boutonnieres. This way I will have my bouquet forever. How great is that!!!!

Lorie Vanvalkenburg was our designer, and she made my bouquet. Jade made the centerpieces. Penney made the bridesmaid bouquets, and one of Margo's friends made the rest of our flower arrangements
You guys did such a great job. Thank you so much for all you help.

Elisha and Mallory planned a bachelorette party for me. My invites said Bryce and Candice are tying the know bring something for Candice that is sexy and hot....or something like that it was really cute. I couldn't get home from girls camp fast enough!! I couldn't wait for my shower (both of the them) and to see my cousins and Aunt I love love love love them!!! And I was so excited that they would be in town and to be able to be a part of the shower!

I look a little hideous in this pic, but my cousin's are so cute I couldn't resist!

All my besties came

Elisha, Reins, Allie, Leslie, and Kristen

Lindsey, Kira, Britany, Mallory

Mallory planned a candy bar game, and Elisha planned a Lingerie game. Elisha explained that my favorite type of Lingerie was called babydoll from Victoria secret. So she had us pass round a wrapped gift and whoever was holding it when the music stopped had to wear it.

Camille lost...

We also had cute little refreshments.

Every time it rains I get wet

In march I got called into the young womans, and I was so excited, but after I got engaged I realized that meant that I had to go to girls camp! DON DON DON. Normally I would have loved it, but I had too much wedding planning on the brain and I didn't want to waste any time, plus I heard that My BCF was going to come into town that weekend. What are the chances! It was totally different planning girls camp as a leader than it was as a young woman. I had to pack not only for myself, but for them as well just in case they forgot anything.

It was a stake girls camp and it rained the whole time we were there! It was so muddy climbing up the hill that a few of the cars got stuck and had to be pushed up the mountain. Luckily Bryce let me drive his truck and so I had no problems going up the hill. The girls complained almost as much as it rained.
They had classes for the girls to take every morning, but afterward we mostly sat around the campfire

They had a craft. I was in charge of it and I had the girls make camp journals

Me and one of my friends from the ward were both leaders together, which made it kind of fun!

There was a zip line that we went down

(Don't ya just love the smiles on everyone's face, and how everyone has coats and ponchos on. Ace of Base said it right when they said everytime it rain's I get wet!!)

The last night there they did a devotional. We went on a nature walk and had a few stops along the way. At each stop there were different scenarios that each of us go through throughout life, and trying to make the right choices and endure to the end. Out of all the things were did the girls like this the best, they even decided that maybe girls camp wasn't so bad after all, but note to self never plan girls camp the beginning of June.
