Sometimes Moms are Silly

My mom and I didn't always see eye to eye when it came to wedding planning. I wanted to have icecream and brownies, and she didn't want to have desserts. She wanted to have something that diabetics could eat too. I thought that our reception was going to start late enough that people could go home from work and eat and then come to the reception and have desert, but ya know the saying mother knows best, and she insisted that we serve fruit as well. (I don't think that diabetic are suppose to eat fruit either, but don't tell her that!)

That wasn't the only thing that we disagreed on. We had a hard time picking out her dress. We finally decided that we would do black with pink or purple accents. The other day I went into her room and she had a really pretty black dress hanging up, but with it was a maroon jacket. I was hoping she was just wearing the dress without the jacket, but I knew that wasn't the case. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I am not sure why she thought maroon was purple or pink. I am pretty sure maroon is red, and that it clashes with both purple and pink. I know I know I am totally a bridezilla!
